USA Tour – Pre-Flight Checkin

Well, as part of this years Professional Development I am heading off to the USA on a study tour with educators from around australia, organised by the Australia Council for Computers in Education, hosted by Flinders University. The tour is about looking at the use of ICT in various schools, predominately in America. The tour itself leaves Sydney on June 13 with the first stop being Los Angeles where we get on another plane headed to Vancover, Canada. Without going through all the stops on the tour in this post I have attached a copy of the Itinerary for those that are interested and want to ask questions along the way.

The hope I have of the tour is to find like minded people to form partnerships with to ensure that the work we are doing here in Australia, and in particular Western Australia, prepares our students to live in a globally connected community. I particularly want to thank my school, John XXIII College for allowing me the time to go on this tour. My traveling companion and mentor Mr Trevor Galibrath, Director of ICT at Coprus Christi College and I will be collecting and sharing as much information as we can over the next four weeks so stay tuned. I will be tweeting during the day then blogging at night with lots of photos.
